RECONNECT

Panchakarma & Yoga Retreat 2025

If you’re feeling tired, overwhelmed, disconnected from your body or just know deep down that something needs to change. This is your invitation to reset, reconnect, and heal at the source.

What is Ayurveda and Panchakarma?

Ayurveda is a traditional system of holistic natural healing that originated in India over 5,000 years ago. It teaches that true health comes from living in balance (physically, mentally, and emotionally). Rather than treating symptoms alone, Ayurveda looks at the root cause of imbalance and offers personalised guidance through diet, lifestyle, herbs, and daily rituals.

Panchakarma is Ayurveda’s most powerful detox and rejuvenation therapy. It works by gently removing toxins (ama) that build up in the body from poor digestion, stress, environmental pollution, and modern living. This process helps reset the digestive system, boost immunity, calm the nervous system, and restore energy levels.

In today’s world, where many of us feel overwhelmed, tired, or out of sync. Ayurveda and Panchakarma offer a deeply nourishing reset. They don’t just help you feel better in the short term, but also support long-term health, clarity, and vitality in a natural and sustainable way.

This Retreat Creates Space for Reflection and Growth
By stepping away from your busy daily life, you create space to reconnect with yourself, reflect, and realign with what truly matters. Healing begins in stillness.

5 Reasons to have Panchakarma

Panchakarma clears toxins (ama) from the deepest layers of your tissues and organs—not just your gut—giving your entire system a full internal reset. Far more profound than a juice cleanse, it often leads to a natural surge in energy, mental clarity, and emotional balance within just a few days.

1. A Real Detox—Not Just Juices

2. Supports Long-Term Gut and Liver Health

By strengthening digestion and reducing toxic load, Panchakarma relieves bloating, heaviness, and fatigue. Scientific studies show it can significantly reduce harmful compounds like PCBs by up to 46% in just five days (Scientific Reports, 2016), giving your gut, liver, and lymphatic system the space to heal.

3. Rejuvenates and Slows Premature Ageing

More than a cleanse, Panchakarma deeply nourishes from within—supporting cellular repair, healthier skin, better sleep, and hormone balance. Regular Ayurvedic cleansing has been linked to reduced oxidative stress and healthier ageing (Journal of Ayurveda and Integrative Medicine, 2020).

4. Strengthens Immunity and Reduces Inflammation

As digestion heals, so does the immune system. With 70% of immunity rooted in the gut, Panchakarma therapies like basti (herbal enemas) and abhyanga (oil massage) help regulate immune function and lower systemic inflammation naturally.

5. Resets Hormonal Balance and Calms the Nervous System

By restoring gut health and reducing stress, Panchakarma helps balance hormones, improve menstrual health, and support metabolism. Daily Ayurvedic therapies, yoga, and deep rest also soothe the nervous system-enhancing sleep quality, emotional resilience, and mental clarity.

Meet the Co-Hosts

This retreat is lovingly guided by Mabel and Giorgia. Together, we bring a blend of authentic Ayurveda, nourishing yoga, and lived experience to support and guide you through your healing journey.

  • Classical Hatha Yoga Teacher & Co-Host

Giorgia’s journey into healing and self-discovery began far from the world she once knew. With a background in business, photography and theatre, she spent over a decade working as a brand consultant across Europe, before life led her down a completely different path. Her spiritual awakening began in the wild nature of Mexico and Indonesia, deepened by time spent with shamans and realised beings. But it was India and the stillness of the Himalayas that truly changed everything.

In Rishikesh, the heart of yoga and Ayurveda, Giorgia immersed herself in ancient practices that nourished her spirit and transformed her health. Panchakarma was a turning point, bringing her profound clarity, emotional release, and a deep sense of renewal. Not long after, she encountered the teachings of Sadhguru and felt an instant transformation through the classical Hatha Yoga practices he offers.

In 2021, she completed the intensive 6-month teacher training at the Isha Yoga Centre in Coimbatore, becoming a certified Hatha Yoga teacher through Sadhguru’s Gurukulam. Since then, she’s dedicated her life to sharing the tools that brought her back to herself, teaching across the world through Jiya Hatha Yoga.

Today, Giorgia lives with joy, balance and devotion, offering yoga as a living experience, rooted in nature and inner stillness. Her passion is to guide others on the path of transformation, through body, breath and spirit.

  • Ayurvedic Practitioner & Co-Host

After 10 years working as a Registered Nurse in London’s NHS, I reached a point of complete burnout-physically, emotionally, and spiritually. In 2020, I travelled to India seeking rest, and found myself unexpectedly locked down in Rishikesh for nearly 18 months. What I thought would be a short break turned into a life-changing encounter with Ayurveda.

At the time, I was struggling with painful periods, hormonal migraines, acne, and chronic fatigue. Nothing in my years of medical training or experience had prepared me for the relief I found through Panchakarma. My treatment was personalised, deeply nourishing, and unlike anything I’d experienced before. For the first time, the root cause of my symptoms was addressed—and the transformation was remarkable. Not only did my symptoms disappear, but I finally felt aligned in body and mind.

That experience sparked a deep sense of purpose. I realised I hadn’t just found Ayurveda, Ayurveda had found me. I began studying during my time in India and went on to complete my training at the Institute of Ayurveda in London.

Today, I combine my background in modern medicine with the ancient wisdom of Ayurveda to help others heal in a more holistic, sustainable way with Amsula Ayurveda.

My passion is bringing people back to themselves through Ayurvedic living, and my dream of leading others on transformational Panchakarma retreats in India is now a reality. My goal is to create a bridge between Eastern and Western medicine, where both systems work hand in hand to improve not just treatment, but the whole experience of healing.
